This drawing “Unfolding” is a response to Rachel Duckhouse’s work in the frame of the project THE LINE MIAMI by Joana Fischer.

The balance between openness and closure in Rachel Duckhouse’s work inspired me most. I tried to continue this balance in combining the geometrical figures and in drawing freehand. In the end, I used a moistened ink stick and reduced the figures to a few lines. The balance between space and figure is emphasized like in a process of continuous unfolding.
